About the role
What You Will Do
Architect and evolve the product finance analytics function; build and own product forecasting across numerous products, underlying metrics such as adoption, and impactful reporting that enables important decision making
Serve as a strategic finance advisor to the CPO, CTO, and senior leadership team by translating product strategy, customer behavior, and business drivers into sophisticated financial forecasts and insights
Influence roadmap prioritization, investment decisions, and resource allocation by connecting product performance to company-level financial outcomes
Lead complex, ambiguous analytical investigations to uncover the drivers behind product growth, engagement, monetization, retention, expansion, and churn
Develop executive-level narratives that translate data into strategic recommendations and identify opportunities to improve business performance
Own the product financial performance management framework, including forecasting, operating reviews, variance analysis, and strategic reporting
Establish insights and recommendations that drive accountability and enable Finance and Product leadership to make informed decisions
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that deliver timely, trusted product performance and revenue visibility to Finance, Data, Product, and executive leadership
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and transform large datasets from core systems (product, billing, data warehouse) into clean, analysis-ready outputs for forecasting purposes
Build scalable analytics processes and operating models that elevate Finance’s ability to support product strategy, improve decision velocity, and create sustainable business intelligence capabilities
Uphold data governance and quality standards within the Finance domain, ensuring a single source of truth for critical metrics
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
12+ years of experience or 10+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, strategic finance, finance analytics, or related disciplines, with demonstrated success influencing executive decision-making and building scalable analytical capabilities within a high-growth SaaS environment
Advanced SQL proficiency required; experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and product analytics strongly preferred
Proven track record architecting product-level financial models, forecasting methodologies, and strategic planning frameworks that influence business decisions, investment priorities, and company growth
Fluency with SaaS financial metrics — ARR, NRR, GRR, churn, LTV, CAC — and the ability to connect product behavior to topline financial outcomes
Ability to excel in high-stakes transaction environments such as leading diligence workstreams, structuring complex financial analyses, and presenting directly to internal and external parties
Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
Experience conducting open-ended analytical investigations — comfortable starting from a trend or anomaly and independently structuring an analysis to understand its root cause and financial significance
Ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear narratives and recommendations for product and executive audiences
Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic thought partner to executive leaders and influence decisions across multiple functions
Ability to navigate ambiguity, define problems independently, and develop solutions to complex business challenges
