About the role

Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain clean, high-quality, efficient, and well-tested code aligned with project specifications.
  • Design and implement abstractions that bridge software engineering and DevOps.
  • Gather feedback from engineers using the platform, identify productivity obstacles, and help prioritize improvements.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to build tooling that teams adopt.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation that helps engineers self-serve.
  • Use AI-assisted tooling and automation workflows to improve developer productivity, accelerate troubleshooting, and strengthen platform reliability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping complex backend systems.
  • Strong skills in at least one modern backend programming language.
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native or cloud-hybrid solutions.
  • Product mindset toward internal tooling, including seeking feedback and iterating on solutions.
  • Comfort using AI-powered engineering tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Node.js, Go, TypeScript, React, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
  • Experience developing tools that improve developer experience.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Side projects or personal builds owned end to end, from idea to real users.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $130,000–$180,000 per year.
