Lock supply and lead times against the build plan, with capacity commitments that survive demand spikes. Qualify suppliers technically with engineering: first articles, PPAP-style approvals, and audits. Negotiate multi-year agreements that hold price and priority as volumes grow 10x.
You've sourced mechanical or fabricated categories for a manufacturer and owned the supplier relationships. You read drawings and specs well enough to challenge a quote line by line. You've qualified new suppliers under time pressure without skipping the steps that matter. You've secured capacity in constrained markets. You manage suppliers on data: on-time delivery, PPM, and lead-time performance.

Build and run the global spares sourcing program for critical datacenter equipment (chillers, generators, switchgear) at multi-GW scale. Own the consumables category (coolant, filters, PPE, spares) for Fluidstack's massive AI compute buildout. Set stocking strategies, negotiate national agreements, standardize SKUs, and build automated consumption-based replenishment systems across multiple data center sites.
Own the fiber and optics supply chain category for massive AI data center builds. Negotiate high-volume agreements, dual-source transceivers, qualify components, and forecast demand to keep procurement off the critical path.
Own end-to-end supplier integration, performance management, and system connectivity to synchronize supplier capacity, quality, and delivery with manufacturing build plans. Requires prior experience managing supplier launches, recovering failing suppliers, and connecting processes to ERP/MRP systems.
Own compute and storage sourcing (GPU servers, storage systems, node components) from supplier strategy through delivery for massive AI data center buildout. Negotiate pricing/lead times/capacity with OEMs/ODMs, dual-source critical configs, and manage supplier performance tied to forward pipeline.
