Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets (100s of GBs) to answer data-driven questions
- Design, develop, and deploy data models, algorithms, and tools for analysis and visualization
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using DBT + Segment + Redshift, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and availability
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers for data-driven decisions
- Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling to identify insights and trends
- Develop and implement data quality and governance standards
- Work with stakeholders to translate data needs into technical requirements
- Mentor junior data engineers and analysts
- Stay current with data engineering, science, and analytics trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 4+ years in data engineering, focusing on scalable pipelines and models
- Strong SQL programming skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data services (S3, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and statistical modeling
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Self-starter for fast-paced startup
Compensation
- $200-230k base + substantial equity
