Production Leadership
Lead complex projects end to end, from pre-production through final delivery.
Serve as Director of Photography, making creative and technical calls in real time.
Run shoots, including location scouting, gear selection, shot planning, and talent direction.
Own the creative direction of post-production; collaborate with editors on cuts, animation, and delivery.
Manage concurrent projects, flag risks early, and adjust timelines before they slip.
Creative Strategy and Content Leadership
Shape video content strategy with the Creative Director, aligned to brand and business goals.
Identify high-impact content opportunities and propose the format, platform, and narrative angle.
Lead ideation for major projects, including product launches, customer spotlights, and company communications.
Brief and mentor freelance editors, animators, and directors on creative vision and craft.
Analyze content performance and apply learnings to future work.
Maintain the editorial bar across all shipped content.
Systems, Operations, and Process Design
Design and optimize production workflows covering storage, review, file organization, and vendor management.
Evaluate and recommend team tools and infrastructure.
Manage vendor and freelancer relationships, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Protect the archive through backup protocols, data integrity practices, and asset organization standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence
Partner with Product, Product Marketing, Content, Customer Education, Customer Success, People, and Leadership on content initiatives.
Translate ambiguous business requests into clear creative direction.
Surface content opportunities across the organization and pitch those worth pursuing.

Qualifications
5+ years of professional video production experience in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Demonstrated expertise in concept development, directing, cinematography, and editing.
Track record leading complex projects from concept to delivery with minimal oversight.
Strong editorial judgment and storytelling instincts across formats and platforms.
Experience briefing and coordinating freelance and external creative partners.
Deep understanding of YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and web content optimization.
Proven ability to design or improve workflows that measurably increase team speed.
Portfolio or reel spanning multiple formats and series, documenting your role on each project.
Experience with brand, corporate, or SaaS content is a plus.
Experience with video storage, digital asset management, or creative workflow tools such as Frame.io is a plus.
Compensation
Base wage range for this position in the New York City office: $121,000.00–$151,000.00 per year.
Actual compensation depends on factors including skill set, relevant experience, and specific work location.
Salary ranges for other locations may differ based on local labor costs.
