About the role

Responsibilities

  • Frame emerging business ideas as sharp, testable hypotheses with defined risks and validation criteria.
  • Run focused validation sprints with a design partner, choosing the fastest credible path to an answer.
  • Size opportunities, model business cases, analyze competitive and market dynamics, and assess commercial viability.
  • Conduct customer discovery through surveys, interviews, ethnographic research, demand tests, and prototypes.
  • Synthesize customer evidence and business analysis into clear go/no-go recommendations for leadership.
  • Package validated opportunities for handoff to product teams.
  • Help establish the Studio's operating playbook, sprint cadence, decision framework, and confidence standards.
  • Use AI tools for research synthesis, analysis, and rapid prototyping.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing technology products, focused on mobile or consumer products.
  • Experience with 0-to-1 work, such as early-stage startups, new product incubation, or founding a company.
  • Strategic and business-minded, with the ability to size markets and build lightweight business cases.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity.
  • Experience making data-informed decisions and conducting analysis to size opportunities and interpret experiments.
  • Skilled in customer discovery, including planning, recruiting, and conducting lightweight research independently.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings, recommendations, and tradeoffs to executives.
  • Comfortable evaluating opportunities objectively, including recommending that an initiative not proceed.
  • Fluent with or eager to master AI tools for research, analysis, and rapid prototyping.
  • Knowledge of or passion for sports and sports communities.

  • Background in strategy, consulting, or corporate development.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Target salary range: $160,000–$180,000.
  • Total compensation may include incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
