About the role
Responsibilities
Own recurring journal entries and reconciliations for key revenue-related general ledger accounts.
Support the month-end close by preparing entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
Manage monthly bookings activity and record customer transactions accurately and on time.
Lead reconciliations for deferred revenue and contract asset accounts.
Prepare monthly revenue and deferred revenue flux analyses with clear explanations and insights.
Partner with Finance, FP&A, and cross-functional stakeholders on revenue reporting and ad hoc analyses.
Serve as a subject-matter expert on bookings, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition within the order-to-cash cycle.
Contribute to GAAP-compliant financial statements and revenue-related disclosures.
Support external audits by owning assigned PBC requests and responding to auditor questions.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across accounting workflows.
Document accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment, including hands-on month-end close responsibilities.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets, including lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
Strong foundation in US GAAP and practical corporate accounting experience.
Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to communicate accounting concepts clearly to non-finance partners.
Ability to prioritize recurring close responsibilities and new projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience managing, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets using Excel, SQL, or BI tools such as Mode Analytics.
Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system for general ledger, revenue, and subledger activity.
Experience at a publicly listed company and/or in a SaaS environment with complex or multi-element revenue arrangements.
CPA designation, active pursuit of CPA eligibility, or prior public accounting experience.
Experience driving process improvements or automation within accounting or finance operations.
