Vice President, Product Management - Identity Management

Key Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for Okta Identity Governance (OIG) and Okta Privileged Access (OPA)
- Position Okta as the dominant leader in unified Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Team Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire a world-class team of Product Managers
- Foster a culture of high ownership, accountability, and user-centric design
Execution & Delivery
- Work hand-in-hand with Engineering leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and intuitive enterprise-grade products
- Maintain a rigorous focus on speed-to-market without sacrificing quality
Market & Customer Insights
- Spend time with Fortune 500 CISOs, IT leaders, and industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester) to deeply understand market trends, regulatory compliance needs, and customer pain points
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to define Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, pricing, packaging, and enablement that accelerate pipeline and adoption
Platform Integration
- Ensure seamless integration of OIG and OPA within the broader Okta Identity Cloud ecosystem, delivering a unified "single pane of glass" experience for customers
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Required Domain Expertise
- Deep, practical experience within the Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape
- Proven track record of designing, building, or scaling sophisticated Identity Governance (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
Experience
- 12+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS
- At least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director/VP) managing multi-product portfolios
Scale
- Proven track record of scaling enterprise software products from early traction to $100M+ in ARR
Technical Acumen
- Ability to converse deeply with engineers about cloud architecture, APIs, zero-trust security frameworks, and AI/ML-driven automation
Strategic Clarity
- Exceptional ability to distill complex, ambiguous market dynamics into a clear, actionable product roadmap
Communication
- Masterful storyteller who can inspire internal teams, command the room with executive stakeholders, and build trust with enterprise customers
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range (San Francisco Bay Area): $329,000–$452,000 USD
- Annual base salary range (California excluding SF Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington): $294,000–$403,000 USD
