About the role

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently
  • Inspect received equipment for accuracy and damage
  • Prepare, package, and ship hardware according to company standards
  • Coordinate with vendors and carriers for timely deliveries
  • Maintain shipping documentation and tracking records

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and asset tracking records
  • Perform routine cycle counts and full inventory audits
  • Update inventory systems with serialized equipment and asset details
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and staging areas
  • Monitor inventory levels and report restocking needs

Technical Configuration & Scripting

  • Configure network and endpoint devices prior to shipment (routers, switches, firewalls, PCs, etc.)
  • Deploy standard configuration templates and firmware updates
  • Develop, modify, and execute configuration scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or vendor CLI scripting)
  • Validate configurations through testing and quality assurance checks
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and configuration issues
  • Maintain documentation for configuration standards and processes

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, inventory, or warehouse operations
  • Experience with hardware staging and device configuration
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, routing concepts)
  • Experience with asset management or inventory tracking systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience configuring network equipment (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, etc.)
  • Familiarity with automation tools or configuration management systems
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification
  • Experience in an MSP or IT deployment environment
