Senior SW Engineer (USA based)

150k – 180kUnited StatesRemote6+ YOE
Summary

Senior Software Engineer building and evolving Python backend systems for an AI-driven healthcare RCM platform. Own features end-to-end and collaborate closely with founders and cross-functional teams.

About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to design and build a high-impact product.
  • Build and ship critical features with intent, strong attention to detail, and a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability.
  • Own features end to end, from shaping requirements and implementation to testing, observability, deployment, and iteration in production.
  • Contribute to and help shape our engineering culture as the team grows.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience building and operating complex web applications in production environments.
  • Strong experience building backend systems, ideally in Python using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
  • Comfortable working across the stack. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy building thoughtful, user-facing experiences.
  • Understand that velocity and quality aren’t opposites. When well done, they’re multiplicative.
  • Think in terms of outcomes, not just implementations. Care about solving real customer problems, even when the requirements aren’t perfectly defined.
  • Prefer pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions over theoretical perfection, and know when “good and shipped” beats “perfect and late.”
  • Comfortable owning features end-to-end, from vague ideas to production impact and iteration.
  • Reside in the United States.

How We Work

  • Start with a 1–2 week onboarding onsite in Los Angeles/Santa Monica with our CTO — travel and accommodations fully covered.
  • After onboarding, work remotely with the freedom and flexibility that comes with it.
  • Join a collaborative and supportive team that values high-quality code, continuous improvement, and having fun while doing meaningful work.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
  • Equity Opportunities: Stock options.
  • Retirement Planning: 401(k) with a generous company match.
  • Student Loan Support: Contributions toward student loans.
  • Competitive Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 per year.
