Senior Software Engineer
Founding Senior Applied Agent Engineer building production LLM agent systems that automate supply chain workflows. Requires 5+ years engineering experience with 1+ year shipping LLM/agent features, strong Python/TypeScript skills, and hands-on agent stack experience.
Responsibilities
- Embed with customers and operators to understand supply chain operations and design agents that automate meaningful work
- Build production agent systems on top of frontier LLMs including tool use, sub-agents, retrieval, structured outputs, MCP servers, and orchestration layers
- Own evaluation as a first-class discipline: build datasets from real traces, write rubrics and graders, run experiments, and ship measurable improvements
- Architect and build data, services, and APIs the agent layer depends on, integrating with internal systems and customer WMS, TMS, and ERP environments
- Codify repeatable deployment patterns to accelerate and improve customer rollouts
- Contribute to product direction, hiring, and engineering culture as a founding team member
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1+ year shipping LLM- or agent-based features into production
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js; experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and data models in PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with the modern agent stack: prompt engineering at production scale, evaluation frameworks (e.g., Langfuse, Braintrust), agent orchestration patterns, and frontier model APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI)
- Track record of building and shipping in fast, ambiguous environments—ideally at an early-stage vertical AI, AI-agent, FDE-style, or data-product company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in vertical AI or AI-agent companies (e.g., Nash, HappyRobot, Augment, Pallet, Harvey, Legora, ElevenLabs)
- Excitement about industrial operations and applied AI for supply chain workflows
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $200,000–$240,000
- Start-up equity
- 100% paid health, dental & vision coverage
- Dinner provided via DoorDash, free DashPass & stocked kitchen (NY employees)
- Commuter benefit
- Gympass benefit
- One Medical Membership, HSA via Optum, Talkspace, HealthAdvocate, Teledoc Health
