Senior Product Manager, Mapping
As a Senior Product Manager, Mapping, you will own the data infrastructure and labeling systems for autonomous vehicle development, ensuring data quality for ML and Behavior teams. You will build systems and workflows, define labeling standards, and scale infrastructure across multiple cities.
About the Work
- Build visibility into data. Ship dashboards that reconcile mileage across sources, show collection coverage, and let ML and Behavior teams see what data exists and what's missing.
- Optimize data collection. Define requirements for smarter data collection routing to improve targeting efficiency—fewer miles driven, higher-value data captured.
- Scale the infrastructure. Develop tooling to support 150+ vehicles operating across multiple cities.
- Raise the bar on labeling quality. Own labeling specs approval, define pass/fail quality thresholds, and design a vendor audit framework that gives us quantified confidence in output.
- Own the labeling tooling roadmap. Prioritize engineering investment in labeling infrastructure and identify cost reduction opportunities (pre-labeling, smarter task routing, reducing redundant QA).
About You
- You take ownership of messy problems. You're energized, not discouraged, by ambiguity. You'll inherit fragmented processes and incomplete systems—and you'll build structure where none exists.
- You ship. You bias toward action and delivering working solutions over perfect plans. You know when "good enough now" beats "great later."
- You're deeply analytical. You're comfortable digging into data pipelines, writing SQL, and building your own visibility when dashboards don't exist yet.
- You operate at both altitude and ground level. You can define a long-term infrastructure vision and also roll up your sleeves to document acceptance criteria or audit vendor output.
- You communicate crisply across technical and non-technical audiences. You'll work daily with engineers, ML researchers, operations teams, and external vendors—and need to translate between all of them.
- You hold systems accountable. You don't just launch processes; you measure them, find where they break, and fix them.
- You have 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to data platforms, ML infrastructure, operations tooling, or vendor management.
