Senior Backend Engineer

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable services and APIs for web applications.
• Architect and maintain robust backend systems, database models, and infrastructure.
• Analyze product requirements and produce high-quality, production-ready code focused on reliability and performance.
• Maintain system and codebase health, refactor, and improve resilience.
• Jump into frontend code when needed to ship features end-to-end.
• Take full ownership and accountability for your work.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and design to build world-class features.
• Write clear specs for quality deployments.
• Drive large releases on continuous deployment.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience in a startup environment.
• 5+ years in backend development with some frontend exposure.
• Strong fundamentals in API design, database architecture, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in TypeScript/Node and backend frameworks.
• Comfort with React and frontend technologies.
• Understanding of performant, scalable systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bias toward action and execution.
