Product Manager

125k – 170kSan Francisco, CAOnsite1+ YOE
Summary

Own a module end-to-end in an AI-native insurance brokerage: drive KPIs, encode domain nuance into AI agents, build evals, and prototype rapidly with modern AI tools. 1-3 years PM or operator experience required; onsite in San Francisco.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own a module end-to-end: customer experience, operator workflows, and AI agents
  • Own KPIs (conversion, handle time, accuracy, autonomous resolution rate, retention) — set targets, instrument, and move them
  • Encode industry-by-industry and segment-by-segment nuance into rules, prompts, agents, and data structures
  • Own the eval regime: regressions on every change, evals mapping to real outcomes, backtests, call-by-call reviews
  • Build golden datasets in partnership with data labeling/validation teams
  • Own cross-modal experience across web, voice, and human channels; decide modality handoffs
  • Sit with operators (sales, service, underwriting) to observe work and identify friction
  • Talk to customers daily
  • Prototype rapidly using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable)
  • Hyper-prioritize ruthlessly among competing requests

Requirements

  • 1–3 years in product OR early-career operator/engineer/AI researcher with demonstrated ownership
  • Track record owning a product or system end-to-end (KPIs, roadmap, execution)
  • Proficiency using AI tools to prototype (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar)
  • Strong analytical instincts; able to argue tradeoffs on AI systems with engineers
  • Experience going deep on a domain and encoding learnings into systems
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate

Nice-to-Haves

  • Background in AI/ML products, voice AI, agent frameworks, or workflow automation
  • Experience with eval design, prompt engineering, or context engineering
  • Insurance, fintech, or regulated industry experience
  • Prior startup experience

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Commuter benefits
  • Team meals and snacks
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 AM – 8 PM (in-office, San Francisco)
