People Operations Coordinator
People Operations Coordinator handling HRIS data entry, employee onboarding, payroll document processing, and HR inquiries in a 4-day onsite role. Requires 1+ year corporate experience and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.
What you'll do
- Manage and respond to inquiries from employees and managers across multiple HR and payroll inboxes
- Accurately enter and maintain employee information in HRIS systems, including AS400 and Dayforce, for transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations
- Facilitate the new hire process from ICIMS to the AS400, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding data
- Review and verify employee change documents to ensure completeness and proper authorization
- Sort incoming mail and process payroll-related documents, including garnishments and requests, for upload to ADP
- Actively participate in cross-training initiatives across various People Operations functions to develop a broad understanding of the department
- Assist with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly HR and payroll reports
- Take ownership of and contribute to special projects as assigned, gaining exposure to various People Operations initiatives
- Assist in the organization and set-up of New Metropolite Orientation (NMO), our onboarding program, including coordinating the IT setup
What we're looking for
- 1+ years of professional experience within a corporate setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; as well as familiarity with Google Workspace
- Basic understanding of HR/People data management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and writing
- Eagerness to learn HRIS systems (AS400, Dayforce, ICIMS) and reporting tools
Compensation: The anticipated base pay for this position is $27.00 USD to $33.00 USD hourly. Base pay is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
