Responsibilities
- 75% of time working with the Internal IT team on new initiatives and projects; 25% maintaining IT Infrastructure and support requests
- Maintaining and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Deploying Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Creation, research, analysis, engineering and implementation of internal technical solutions that assist in increased employee productivity and result in better self-serve IT environment
- AI Research & Advocacy: evaluating emerging AI tools, leading efforts to deploy solutions that improve workflows, and helping teammates incorporate AI into their day-to-day work
- Analysis and implementation of current security and compliance controls specific to internal IT processes and systems to ensure HIPAA-compliant internal infrastructure
- Create scripts and automations using programming languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
- Create knowledge base for implemented solutions and provide education to all employees on new processes and technologies
- Cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion)
- On-call schedule to support team members during off hours and weekends (1 weekend day every 2 weeks)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent) or higher degree
- 3+ years of proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer, System Administrator, or similar IT Support role
- Experience maintaining and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), as well as deploying Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Tech savvy and comfortable with web apps including Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom Admin, Okta Admin, Microsoft InTune (Mobile Device Management), Windows Autopilot (Zero-Touch Deployment) and Identity lifecycle SaaS
- Experience in technical quality assurance
- Record and document results and compare to expected results
- Great documentation and communication skills utilizing Notion
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
