  • Business Ownership: Own the P&L for the business unit. Manage the budget for R&D, infrastructure/inference costs, and headcount planning.
  • R&D Leadership: Build and lead a distributed high-performance R&D organization. Manage Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design, fostering a culture of rapid iteration and technical excellence.
  • AI Strategy: Build the technical vision for the area, and lead technologists and product managers to document and evangelize the strategy with internal and external customers.

  • Technical Depth in AI: Deep understanding of the AI landscape. Familiar with AI frameworks, foundation models, embeddings and vector databases.
  • Cloud & Platform Expertise: 10+ years of experience building scalable Cloud/SaaS products, enterprise infrastructure software or developer platforms (APIs, SDKs, or infrastructure tools).
  • Leader of Leaders: Proven experience managing managers and leading cross-functional organizations of 100+ people.

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to distill complex technical concepts (e.g., multi-layered AI governance or inference optimization) into compelling narratives for customers and executives.
  • MongoDB experience is a plus
