Field Operations Technician (Santa Rosa, CA)
Field Operations Technician drives ATVs to operate AI-powered camera systems on customer farms, collects data through field scanning and scouting, provides on-site support, training, demos, and customer engagement in California's North Coast. Requires agriculture experience, outdoor comfort, and self-starting mindset.
Responsibilities
- Visit customer farms and scan fields with AI-powered camera systems to collect farm data.
- Drive ATVs up and down farm rows for hours to scan trees, vines, and plants.
- Conduct precise field scouting, counting trees, vines, fruit, etc., for ground truth data.
- Drive 1-3 hours to customer farms for training and deployments.
- Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and training for FruitScope vision systems.
- Conduct on-farm demos for prospective customers.
- Engage with customers for satisfaction and relay insights to customer success and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Prior agriculture or field work experience; comfortable spending many hours outdoors.
- Comfortable driving 1-3 hours daily to customer farms and engaging with growers in-person.
- Able to lift at least 20 lbs to set up camera systems.
- Comfortable driving ATVs around farms for extended periods and completing field tasks.
- Customer-first mindset, highly responsive, and reliable.
- Proactive, loves to problem-solve and tackle new challenges.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and managing own schedule.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in agriculture.
- Valid driver's license for frequent travel to customer farms.
