Area Manager, Red Team

Responsibilities

• Manage 2–4 Campaign Leads and oversee a total contributor population of approximately 30–45.
• Own workforce allocation by assigning contributors based on skills, availability, and project needs.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one performance feedback sessions and draft performance documentation.
• Take HR actions, including fact-finding conversations, performance improvement plans, and escalations to HR.
• Coordinate EOR administration, including timecards, PTO, benefits questions, and liaison work with HireArt.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, and facilities on contributor onboarding, offboarding, and operational needs.
• Provide subject matter oversight across campaigns, including domain guidance, content policy consultation, and quality calibration.
• Identify and develop tools, processes, and product features that improve operational efficiency and contributor success.
• Conduct training sessions for new contributors and manage knowledge transfer and onboarding.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in AI red teaming, trust and safety, content safety operations, or a closely related field.
• 1+ year of direct people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong organizational and workforce planning skills, with the ability to manage allocations across multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear performance feedback and represent team needs to leadership.
• Experience with HR processes, including performance management, corrective actions, and onboarding.
• Ability to work with sensitive or graphic material across text, image, video, audio, and agentic modalities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing workforce operations in technology, BPO, content moderation, or government services.
• Familiarity with EOR or staffing agency coordination and co-employment considerations.
• Background in AI/ML safety evaluation, adversarial testing, or model policy development.
• Experience with productivity analytics, workforce planning tools, or operational dashboards.

Compensation and Benefits

• Full-time, FTE-Field position.
• Base salary range for Texas: $98,000–$122,000 USD.
• Compensation may include base salary, equity, and benefits.
