Engineering Manager - Integrations Platform
Lead a 6-person engineering team owning Plaid's tier-0 Integrations Platform that powers all bank data extractions for 8,000+ customers. Drive technical strategy, architecture, and team development for traffic management, extraction frameworks, and network health systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6 engineers (mid-level to Staff), developing them through clear goal setting, coaching, and feedback
- Define and drive long-term strategy for the Integrations Platform in close partnership with technical and product leaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify high-leverage opportunities, shape the roadmap, and dive deep into technical design and execution
- Uphold a high bar for technical quality and delivery velocity, leading by example
Qualifications
- 8+ years of industry experience, including time as a Staff-level engineer before transitioning into management
- 1+ years of engineering management experience
- Deep experience designing scalable, reliable architectures that support real-world products at scale
- Track record of building and growing high performing engineering teams
Team & Scope
- Own three core pillars: Traffic (scheduling and traffic-management systems), Extraction Platform (classic and next-gen OAuth extraction framework), Network Health (credentials, tokens, and traffic systems)
- Support tier-0 services used by 8,000+ customers and every Plaid product team
- Directly enable new insights products (LendScore, Protect, Signal, EWA Score) through data accuracy, freshness, and quality
