Engineering Manager, Client Foundation
Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team owning shared app platform, release infrastructure, and developer tooling. Partner with Product and Design to drive frontend velocity and AI-driven development across Chime's mobile and web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing engineering team
- Enable AI-driven and agentic development workflows across frontend engineering
- Define and drive the vision for frontend platform, and developer tooling
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
- Improve developer and agent experience, build times, and engineering velocity
- Guide architecture and ensure high standards for quality and performance
- Build strong relationships with product teams and partner teams such as Design Systems
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams, including hiring
- Experience building or owning client or platform infrastructure
- Engineering background across the full stack (iOS, Android, Web, & Backend)
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong technical foundation and ability to guide architecture
- Experience working on large-scale consumer applications
