About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done.
  • Coach, mentor, and onboard new engineering team members.
  • Identify future technical needs and create plans to meet them.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to help continuously grow and scale.
  • Hire engineers to build out both new and existing squads, with oversight on all team members hired onto the squad.
  • Work on products and services aimed at simplifying scheduling for millions of users.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience managing a team of Software Engineers.
  • 5+ years of overall development experience, ideally using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Deep proficiency with distributed / data-oriented application development and SaaS.
  • Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects.
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts.
  • Experience leading Agile / Scrum ceremonies.
  • Availability for participation in on-call rotation.

  • Ability to balance technical execution with team development and stakeholder management.

Compensation

Tier 1 Salary Hiring Range: $232,626—$281,888 USD
Tier 2 Salary Hiring Range: $213,241—$258,398 USD
Tier 3 Salary Hiring Range: $193,855—$234,907 USD
