Security Engineer, Offensive Security

Conduct offensive security operations, red-team engagements, penetration testing, and adversarial simulations across cloud, endpoint, and bare-metal environments. The role requires at least five years of experience, strong engineering skills, and expertise across multiple security domains.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct red-team and purple-team engagements simulating advanced threat actors across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, and bare-metal deployments.
  • Penetration test high-value deployments.
  • Contribute to AI-assisted security-testing tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with security and engineering teams on AI-specific attack scenarios.
  • Document and present findings to technical and executive audiences, translating attack narratives into actionable risk insights for security roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in red teaming and offensive security operations.
  • Deep expertise in at least two of the following: macOS security, Linux security, cloud security (GCP, AWS, or Azure), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to discover novel attack vectors and creatively chain vulnerabilities.
  • Experience conducting adversarial simulations against well-defended environments.
  • Strong engineering skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Ability to write clear findings that drive action and help teams understand risk and prioritize fixes.
  • Collaborative approach, including close partnership with blue teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working at organizations with state-actor threat models.
  • Interest in AI safety and security engineering's role in responsible AI development.
  • Experience testing AI/ML systems or agentic workflows.
  • Familiarity with detection engineering and SIEM/EDR platforms.
  • Experience with data center security or hardware-based attacks.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $300,000–$320,000 USD.
