Senior Software Engineer (Core Infrastructure)
Owns the foundational infrastructure that orchestrates autonomous agents and long-running workflows in production. The role combines systems architecture, reliability engineering, end-to-end infrastructure ownership, and direct responsibility for security and compliance.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Build and operate core infrastructure primitives for agent orchestration, workflow engines, state management, eventing, and execution reliability.
- Design systems that handle partial data, human handoffs, long timelines, regulatory constraints, and silent-error prevention.
- Make architectural decisions affecting product capability, engineering velocity, and customer trust.
- Own infrastructure end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and ongoing evolution.
- Collaborate with product, applied AI, and domain experts to translate workflows into durable, production-grade systems.
- Set technical standards for robustness and clarity.
Security and Compliance
- Own security oversight across the infrastructure layer, including risk assessments, tooling, and incident-response readiness.
- Ensure systems meet and maintain SOC 2 and, where applicable, PCI DSS requirements.
- Collect, document, and maintain audit-ready compliance evidence.
- Maintain documentation of security-related responsibilities across the engineering team.
- Act as the primary infrastructure-security contact during audits, customer due diligence, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate on PII handling, data residency, privacy, and regulatory requirements in system design.
Compensation and Benefits
- Meaningful, generous equity.
- Radical autonomy, end-to-end ownership, and minimal bureaucracy.
- Accelerated founder’s-track growth opportunities.
- Work alongside highly experienced, ownership-oriented teammates.
- Opportunities to shape software used in major built-world projects.
