Fraud Strategy

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data-driven strategies to prevent fraud loss from account takeover (ATO), scams, and social engineering schemes targeting customers.
• Create and execute the authentication roadmap covering analytics, tools, capabilities, and operational processes.
• Conduct independent data analytics of portfolio behavior to identify new or shifting fraud trends using Databricks (SQL, Python).
• Oversee authentication fraud monitoring and alerting logic, ensuring coverage of critical loss vectors and timely, relevant alerts.
• Support the build-out and integration of AI capabilities (including agentic AI, LLMs, prompt engineering) directly within risk workflows to automate processes, accelerate execution, improve fraud prevention, and enhance customer experience.
• Maintain and enhance network/graph analysis strategies to capture collusive fraud rings while minimizing false positives.
• Work closely with IT, Operations, Product, and AML teams to investigate and triage authentication fraud incidents.
• Stay abreast of the latest fraud prevention industry developments, emerging fraudster tactics, and methods to combat them as the SME for authentication fraud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience directly managing authentication risk strategies (device & login risk, account recovery, profile management such as phone/email/address updates).
• Highly analytical skillset with ability to synthesize vast amounts of data into meaningful insights.
• Deep domain knowledge of tools and tactics used by bad actors for targeted or large-scale authentication fraud attacks, and experience developing best-in-class mitigation solutions.
• Demonstrated ability building with AI tools (LLMs, prompt engineering, workflow automation, advanced analytics platforms) to improve fraud strategy, detection, eliminate manual effort, and drive measurable improvements in fraud loss, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex issues into clear, simple language for diverse audiences.
• Act-like-an-owner mentality with strong bias toward taking action.

• Experience integrating agentic AI capabilities into risk decision flows.
• Knowledge of network/graph analysis for fraud detection.
