Responsibilities
- Use AI tools, scripting, and CLI-based workflows to complete tasks and automate financial processes.
- Support customers through deliverable and client-facing work on 409A valuations, tax reporting, fund implementations, and portfolio data collection.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and turn them into repeatable, scalable systems.
- Provide feedback to engineering and product teams through testing, bug reporting, and process insights.
- Develop expertise in private markets, AI tools, and Carta's ERP vision.
- Rotate across auditable reporting services teams supporting 409A Valuations, Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) Attestations, Fund Tax, Venture Capital and Private Equity Implementations, VC Financial Reporting, Portfolio Data Collection, and Capital Call Lines of Credit.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong interest in AI and automation.
- Bias for action and ability to take ownership.
- Knowledge of financial statements and common financial concepts.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with diplomacy and poise under pressure.
- Curious and competitive mindset.
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to financial concepts through coursework, internships, or personal interest.
- Experience with Python, scripting, or basic technical tooling.
- Familiarity with financial modeling in Excel.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude or Gemini thoughtfully in work.
