Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations that interface directly with game engines and game-specific APIs.
- Develop Unreal and Unity engine plugins to extract game-specific data and power features such as automatic clipping.
- Reverse-engineer how games expose data and work with game APIs and log files to capture gameplay moments.
- Understand game behavior and recorder interfaces at a low level.
- Own complex features end to end, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
- Profile and optimize production code performance.
- Ship features quickly and regularly, using metrics to guide decisions.
- Conduct A/B tests and measure feature results with usage metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of C# experience in performance-critical contexts.
- Good understanding of the Windows operating system.
- Demonstrable evidence of playing or tinkering with games.
- Excellent understanding of production code performance and confidence with profiling tools.
- Passion for games and gaming communities; familiarity with Discord and gaming-adjacent products.
- Ability to work onsite in New York City five days per week.
Nice-to-haves
- C/C++ experience in performance-critical contexts.
- Graphics API experience, especially DirectX 11, DirectX 12, and Vulkan.
- Reverse engineering and hooking/injection experience.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $180,000–$275,000.
