Manager, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team through coaching, authentic feedback, and hiring
• Partner closely with internal business units to identify high-leverage opportunities and ship features end-to-end that deliver measurable employee productivity gains
• Drive the delivery of AI-native solutions
• Own core services and ensure secure, high-quality, and reliable experiences in a fast-moving environment
• Balance quality with delivery speed, identify bottlenecks, and clearly communicate tradeoffs across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Set technical direction across the team’s roadmap and its three bets: AI adoption, employee efficiency, and foundational improvements

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience and 2+ years managing engineering teams
• Experience building web applications and APIs on cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)
• Strong sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving mindset
• The ability to partner with non-technical business stakeholders and translate their workflows into effective technical solutions
• Experience thriving in a startup or other fast-moving, high-accountability environment
• A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback

Compensation & Benefits

The target base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $385,000. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.
