What You’ll Be Working On
- Customer Scope Definition: Directly engage with customers and the estimating team to define the electrical scope of work and translate client requirements into clear, concise technical specifications for custom equipment.
- Estimating Support: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and technical proposals, ensuring alignment with customer scope and manufacturing capabilities.
- Preliminary Design Deliverables: Create initial electrical design documents for proposals and project handoff, including one-line diagrams, preliminary control schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Material Accuracy Confirmation: Confirm the accuracy of project materials quoted to customers, including the review of vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Electrical Calculations and Component Sizing: Perform preliminary branch circuit and feeder calculations on power distribution equipment, as well as specifying and sizing appropriate electrical components per applicable codes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate a seamless transition from the proposal/submittal stage to the design engineering phase by collaborating closely with the Estimating, Project Management, and Design Engineering teams.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment with 2+ years of experience in applications, project estimating, or sales.
- Power Distribution Systems Knowledge: Solid knowledge of low voltage and medium voltage power distribution systems and control panels.
- Schematic and Diagram Interpretation: Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- NEC Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Software Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Office-based software systems. Basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) to create and document electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
- Skills in Relationship Management: Solid skills in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with production personnel, electrical technicians, and the estimating team.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work in a self-directed manner on several projects at the same time and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with modular building construction, industrial controls, and automation.
- Experience with maintaining compliance to UL standards.
- Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and associated documentation.

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $141,000 -$162,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
