Responsibilities
Lead the design, validation, and deployment of advanced test systems for critical components and subsystems.
Architect PCBs and test interfaces for power electronics, RF, and communication systems.
Develop automated test sequences in Python for scalability, efficiency, and repeatability.
Design and integrate custom test fixtures, including relays, PLCs, PCBAs, and harnessing.
Own and drive cross-functional design reviews, advocating for design-for-testability (DFT) improvements.
Perform HASS, ESS, and HALT testing to validate performance in simulated harsh environments.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hardware test engineering expertise.
Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
3+ years of industry experience in hardware design and test engineering, or equivalent experience with advanced degrees.
Deep expertise in electrical design, mechanical engineering, and software engineering principles as applied to hardware test systems.
Ability to design, implement, and validate multidisciplinary hardware systems in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Demonstrated ownership of projects from concept through execution.
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-haves
Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for test automation.
Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
Experience in rugged, high-reliability industries such as aerospace, defense, or automotive.
