About the role
Responsibilities
Master and apply Baselayer’s visual brand and design system, ensuring consistency and quality across every touchpoint
Design across a wide surface area: web page design, static graphics design, infographic design, marketing campaigns, social content, sales decks, one-pagers, and event and investor materials
Translate complex, technical concepts into clear, compelling visuals and data storytelling
Partner with marketing and leadership to bring launches, campaigns, and narratives to life
Establish and evolve templates, and reusable assets that let the team move faster
Raise the creative bar across the company, giving feedback and setting standards for design quality
Manage multiple projects and deadlines, shipping high-quality work at startup speed
Work with internal stakeholders to transform requests / needs into the envisioned / scoped deliverables
Requirements
2+ years of graphic or brand design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates range and polish
Expert command of the design toolkit (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Flora)
Motion, illustration, and/or short-form video skills
Strong foundation in typography, layout, color, and brand systems
Experience designing across digital and print: web, social, presentations, and marketing collateral
Ability to take projects from concept to finished asset independently
Ability to leverage AI to automate your workflow or expand how we are able to create something
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in fintech, B2B, or technical categories
Experience designing data visualizations and turning numbers into clear stories
Proactive, opinionated about craft, and motivated to build something that lasts
