Responsibilities
- Lead trade-off analysis across space, power density, and cost for new data center designs.
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations to translate commercial requirements into design specifications.
- Evaluate power distribution and cooling architectures, including air, liquid, and immersion cooling, and their effect on rack density.
- Build and maintain cost models comparing alternatives by total installed cost and cost per kW, rack, and square foot.
- Develop repeatable design standards and reference architectures for deployment across sites.
- Evaluate data center technologies such as power delivery, cooling, and rack/enclosure systems.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews to validate technical requirements and commercial targets.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data center design, engineering, or infrastructure planning.
- Experience evaluating power, cooling, and space optimization trade-offs.
- Strong knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, UPS, cooling architectures, and structural/floor loading.
- Experience translating cost and timeline constraints into engineering decisions with commercial or business teams.
- Experience building and using quantitative cost models.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with high-density compute environments, including AI/ML, HPC, or GPU-dense infrastructure.
- Advanced degree.

- Compensation range of $160,000-$195,000 plus bonus.
