About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data to build and improve ML models and pipelines for product, business, and operational use cases.
  • Collaborate with product managers, operations, and data scientists to identify opportunities, refine requirements, and drive engineering decisions.
  • Develop, productionize, and operate ML models and pipelines at scale for batch and real-time use cases.
  • Leverage ML tools and infrastructure for reusable, high-performing systems with fast development, low-latency serving, and model quality upkeep.

Requirements

  • Education: PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years building, testing, and shipping AI models/products; 2+ years with GenAI; 5+ years leading applied science/ML teams as senior IC.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of ML best practices (training/serving skew, A/B testing, feature engineering), algorithms (neural networks, deep learning, optimization), and domains (NLP, computer vision, personalization, search/recommendation, marketplace optimization, anomaly detection).
  • Experience with AI in customer support, full AI product lifecycle with agile practices, building testing frameworks for agents, and ML infrastructure architecture.
  • Ability to quickly learn and integrate new concepts.

Compensation

Base pay range: $244,000 - $305,000 USD. May include bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
