About the role
Responsibilities
Design, build, and release features and products in the Lyft Rider application.
Define long-term roadmaps and architecture based on technology and product needs.
Oversee major changes to Android architecture.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver a high-quality user experience.
Evaluate and implement technologies to improve developer efficiency.
Mentor and support developers through code reviews, design feedback, and technical guidance.
Solve complex real-time data transfer and synchronization issues.
Implement pixel-perfect designs with advanced interactions.
Requirements
6+ years of experience as an Android developer.
Advanced knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
Familiarity with RxJava.
Strong knowledge of architecture and design patterns.
Experience working on and shipping large-scale Android applications.
Strong product sense and care for usability and design.
Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to build complex products.

Compensation
Expected base pay range in the San Francisco area: $176,000–$220,000.
Potential equity, bonus, and benefits are not included in the base pay range.
