Product Designer, MarianaOS

Responsibilities

• Simplify complex, data-dense workflows in MarianaOS through clear information architecture and user flows.
• Own and grow the design system, including coded components.
• Partner with product managers and engineers from problem framing through shipped UI.
• Provide and receive direct design feedback to raise the visual quality of products.
• Prototype directly in code and collaborate live with engineers.
• Set short-horizon design direction for a fast-shipping engineering team.
• Run and synthesize lightweight user research and feedback with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Define design practices and ways of working as the company grows.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to simplify complicated products, datasets, and workflows.
• Experience designing complex, technical, operational, or data-heavy products.
• Strong visual design perspective with a focus on usability.
• Collaborative experience working closely with product managers and engineers.
• Fluency with AI-assisted design and development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, v0, Replit, or similar.
• Comfort prototyping in code and designing as products are built and used.
• A seasoned specialist with a deep complex-product portfolio and substantial experience simplifying data.
• Experience as a first designer at a startup is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep technical ability, including independently owning a design system or writing production code.
• Background as a UX designer, design-minded product builder, or engineer focused on design and prototyping.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range: $180,000–$210,000.
