About the role

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of complex features and systems, from architecture and implementation through deployment and observability.
  • Design and evolve AI-native services that embed LLMs and reasoning capabilities into product workflows.
  • Collaborate with product, design, data, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver AI-powered user and developer experiences.
  • Make architectural decisions balancing rapid experimentation with scalability and reliability.
  • Lead the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs, and core data infrastructure.
  • Build user-facing features that connect frontend interfaces with backend systems.
  • Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into backend pipelines and product logic.
  • Architect performant, secure, and scalable enterprise services with monitoring and observability.
  • Improve internal tooling, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and automated testing practices.
  • Build with enterprise-grade security and compliance requirements, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001, in mind.

Requirements

  • Strong background in backend systems and API design, with production SaaS experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages, such as Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
  • Experience designing distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and building UI components that interface with backend systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and ideally graph databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
  • Pragmatic, product-driven approach suited to a high-velocity startup environment.

  • Experience building microservices or event-driven architectures.
