Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available, scalable, and secure ClickHouse Cloud platforms for regulated and mission-critical environments.
- Build deployment automation across cloud, hybrid, on-premises, and disconnected environments.
- Collaborate with Dataplane, ClickHouse Core, Security, and Infrastructure teams to maintain software parity and meet compliance requirements.
- Solve scaling, reliability, and performance challenges in regulated environments.
- Deploy ClickHouse Cloud on Kubernetes and containerized platforms with high availability, replication, and backup.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, operators, and Kubernetes manifests for database management.
- Automate infrastructure build, scaling, troubleshooting, deployment, and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize ClickHouse Cloud database performance and storage architecture for on-premises, hybrid, and government-cloud deployments.
- Integrate secure authentication, encryption, and access controls.
- Create technical documentation covering system architecture, security, and compliance audits.
- Troubleshoot database performance, security, and operational issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Experience with ClickHouse or relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes tooling, including Helm, Kustomize, operators, Istio, and service mesh technologies.
- Experience with containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises equivalents.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for automation and integration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and production-debugging skills.
- Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with secure, regulated, or restricted network environments, including air-gapped architectures.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with NIST, FedRAMP, Protected B, IRAP, or related security frameworks.
