About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop action-oriented insights to drive product strategy through observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis, clearly communicating results to stakeholders up to the C-suite.
  • Improve experimentation practices by guiding the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests.
  • Create ETLs, tables, dashboards, and self-serve tools that help data scientists and cross-functional partners access and interact with data.
  • Design, evaluate, and measure team-level KPIs for quarterly goal setting and impact assessment.
  • Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and share progress throughout projects, ensuring alignment on business goals and outcomes.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and business partners in data science methods and best practices.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.
  • Master's degree holders: 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.
  • Ph.D. holders: 4+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.
  • Expertise querying relational databases with SQL and programming in languages such as R or Python.
  • Deep understanding of online experimentation, A/B testing, causal inference, and statistical techniques.
  • Strong technical communication and data storytelling skills, including communicating complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to address ambiguous problems by creating an action plan, gathering feedback, and iterating.
  • Comfort working in innovative, fast-paced environments with a bias toward action.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $190,800–$267,100 USD.
