Staff Solutions Architect, Growth

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine whether their applications are a fit for Temporal’s platform.
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster adoption and expansion of Temporal in customer production environments.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Manage relationships with technical decision-makers to help them fully leverage Temporal’s capabilities.
• Serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, including scoping and sizing opportunities and assessing technical fit and challenges.

Requirements

• Reside within the Western Time Zone; San Francisco and Denver are preferred.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Experience building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more supported languages.
• Strong understanding of production considerations, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Ability to advise on application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with common application development and production services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated total compensation: $250,000–$300,000, including base salary and variable compensation with a 70/30 split.
