Applied AI Researcher, System Discovery
Applied AI Researcher on System Discovery team explores new AI system architectures, prototypes human-AI collaborations, and draws cross-domain insights to redefine enterprise workflows. Key Responsibilities
- Identify entirely new classes of AI systems by exploring architectures, modalities, and compositions to reshape work.
- Draw connections across disparate domains to uncover new system archetypes.
- Experiment with unconventional problem definitions and develop prototypes revealing new categories of human–AI collaboration.
Who You Are (Requirements)
- Experience building a wide breadth of systems across paradigms (retrieval pipelines, reasoning agents, evaluation harnesses, multimodal integrations, workflow graph systems).
- Expertise in compound AI systems, agentic collaboration, and techniques like ensembling, ReAct, graph-of-thoughts (building with models, not training them).
- Proven track record of research results (publications, public work).
- Daily use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Cursor, Perplexity to accelerate workflow.
- Strong programming and data analysis skills for building prototypes and experiments.
- Bias towards showing results vs. theoretical ideas.
