About the role

What you'll do at Figma:

  • Support the preparation, review, and filing of Figma's SEC reports and other corporate regulatory filings, including quarterly reports, the annual proxy statement, Section 16 filings, and beneficial ownership reports
  • Support review of public-facing corporate communications, including earnings materials and investor presentations
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including preparing Board and Committee materials and maintaining and operationalizing public-company policies
  • Provide support on equity matters, including 10b5-1 plans and Figma's trading policy
  • Build and maintain processes using AI and other tools, such as playbooks, templates, metrics, self-serve tools, and automations, to help improve legal workflows and scale the legal function
  • Partner with and provide practical legal advice to other critical stakeholders across accounting, equity, finance, people, and communications
  • Provide legal support for transactional and general corporate matters, including financings, strategic transactions, and corporate initiatives as they arise

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 4+ years of legal experience at a top tier law firm and in-house legal department; you should have a J.D. and be a current member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
  • Deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws and SEC reporting requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment, with the ability to distill complex issues and communicate them clearly to stakeholders
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize across multiple projects and recalibrate advice in response to shifting priorities, legal developments, and risk tolerance
  • Strong self-awareness around what you know and what you don't know, and a sense of curiosity and desire to learn what you don't
