The Deputy General Counsel will advise a healthcare technology company on regulatory compliance, transactions, risk, and product strategy while building scalable legal processes. The role requires a J.D., U.S. bar admission, and at least seven years of healthcare legal experience.

Responsibilities
- Advise the business on U.S. and international healthcare, technology, and primary-care laws, regulations, and public policy.
- Build trusted relationships with business partners and stay informed on product developments.
- Draft policies, disclosures, and compliance processes.
- Build scalable cross-functional processes for delivering legal guidance.
- Provide practical legal and strategic advice on products, customer experiences, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Lead multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlines.
Requirements
- J.D. degree or foreign equivalent.
- Admission in good standing to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 7 years of healthcare legal experience in-house and/or at a law firm.
- Experience with regulatory matters, contracting and transactions, and/or litigation.
- Experience advising business teams on regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong legal judgment and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research complex legal and regulatory topics and explain them clearly to non-lawyers.
- Experience counseling clients and teams on business and risk-mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Nice to Have
- FDA experience.
- Experience in a fast-moving startup environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $280,000–$320,000 per year.
- Eligible for a discretionary performance bonus and equity options.
