About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic analytics initiatives supporting Hover’s Insurance product portfolio
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to define success metrics, design experiments, and evaluate product performance
  • Build frameworks that define and measure inspection quality, customer outcomes, and enterprise ROI
  • Lead end-to-end analytical projects — from problem framing and data exploration to storytelling and influencing strategic decisions
  • Drive experiment design and analysis for A/B tests and quasi-experimental studies
  • Improve telemetry and instrumentation foundations across Segment, Mixpanel, and internal analytics systems
  • Help evolve product measurement approaches for AI-assisted and agentic workflows
  • Build a deep understanding of customer journeys and identify opportunities to improve product adoption, retention, and user experience
  • Surface insights that influence roadmap prioritization and strategic product investments
  • Collaborate directly with enterprise insurance customers to evaluate adoption and product effectiveness
  • Create scalable data frameworks that help stakeholders align around business and product outcomes
  • Help elevate analytics maturity across the organization by improving self-serve analytics capabilities and championing data-informed decision making

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Data Science, Product Strategy, or related analytical product-focused roles
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency for complex analysis and data exploration
  • Experience with data tech stack and BI software
  • Strong product intuition and ability to synthesize ambiguous problems into actionable recommendations
  • Experience partnering deeply with Product and Engineering organizations to influence product direction
  • Experience designing and evaluating experiments using A/B testing or causal inference methodologies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product environments with multiple competing priorities
  • Curiosity and practical experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis, improve workflows, or uncover product insights

Nice-to-Haves

  • Python literacy and comfort working with analytical or experimentation workflows
  • Experience with Tableau, DBT, Snowflake, Hex
  • Insurance, fintech, enterprise SaaS, or AI product experience
  • Experience evaluating AI-enabled or workflow automation products
