Associate Commercial Counsel
Supports the full commercial contracting lifecycle for customer, partner, and vendor agreements in a fast-paced SaaS environment. The role partners with Sales, Finance, Privacy, Security, and Customer Success while using AI-assisted workflows to improve contract review and legal operations.

Responsibilities
- Manage the contract review process for customer, partner, and vendor contracts, including SaaS agreements, services agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, and NDAs, from intake through negotiation and completion.
- Draft, revise, and negotiate contracts, providing clear, business-oriented recommendations that balance risk and company needs.
- Review contract modification requests, coordinate with internal business partners, and obtain approvals for non-standard positions.
- Guide cross-functional teams on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, and contractual questions.
- Partner with Finance, Privacy, and Security on contract issues, including privacy, GDPR, and CCPA clauses.
- Support legal review for RFPs and other customer-driven requests.
- Provide legal support to Customer Success on customer relationship management and escalations.
- Assist with continuing education, online resources, and training programs for business partners.
- Improve legal processes, systems, and services through continuous innovation.
- Use AI-powered legal tools for first-pass contract review, clause extraction, and legal research, escalating complex or high-risk issues to senior counsel.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a commercial attorney.
- Experience in a sales-driven or fast-paced technology environment; SaaS experience preferred.
- Experience working cross-functionally, preferably with Sales, Finance, and Procurement.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate issues clearly and understandably.
- Comfort using and learning AI-powered tools for contract review, legal research, and knowledge management.
- Willingness to experiment with AI tools, provide feedback, and improve legal-team workflows.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
