Responsibilities
- Design and maintain data models powering Strategy and Finance reporting, planning, and analysis.
- Automate manual, repetitive data and reporting workflows end to end.
- Build reliable pipelines with testing, monitoring, and clear ownership.
- Partner with Finance and Strategy stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into scalable data products.
- Lay data foundations that support reliable AI and automation systems.
- Champion data quality standards and help shape team data practices.
Requirements
- 4–5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, or a comparable data-heavy role.
- Strong SQL and data-modelling skills, including dbt and dimensional modelling.
- Ability to build automation and pipelines with Python or similar tools.
- Understanding of scalability, trade-offs, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ability to turn ambiguous business requests into clear, trustworthy data products.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with non-technical Finance and Strategy stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise work based on business impact.
- Ability to work from the Melbourne or Sydney office on a hybrid basis.
