AV Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and document enterprise-wide AV standards, including room schematics, signal-flow diagrams, device inventories, and standard operating procedures.
• Program, configure, and build Crestron room systems for large-scale All-Hands spaces and complex, multi-camera conference rooms.
• Design and support room automation systems, including scheduling panels, control processors, camera framing, audio DSP, and lighting integration.
• Lead conference-room and collaboration-space build-outs for new office sites.
• Partner with low-voltage contractors and external AV integration vendors; review designs, cabling, and installations against technical standards.
• Design systems for remote support, monitoring, diagnosis, and global IT/AV operations.
• Troubleshoot AV incidents across displays, audio, video conferencing, and control systems; document root causes and improve standards.
• Evaluate AV technologies and vendors based on user experience, reliability, and total cost of ownership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AV engineering, integration, or systems-design experience.
• Crestron programming experience required; Crestron Certified Programmer or DMC-E certification strongly preferred.
• Experience configuring NVX, DM, and control processors for large-format rooms.
• Hands-on knowledge of Crestron and ideally Extron or Q-SYS room automation platforms, including scheduling, camera automation, and one-touch join workflows.
• Experience leading AV planning and build-outs for new offices or site expansions, including reading architectural and low-voltage drawings.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience managing external vendors and AV or low-voltage integrators.
• Working knowledge of IP addressing, VLANs, QoS, and multicast for AV-over-IP and remote device monitoring.
• Familiarity with Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or Google Meet hardware.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-Haves

• AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification.
• Experience with QSC Q-SYS, Extron, or Biamp DSP systems.
• Experience supporting AV or low-voltage systems in data center, industrial, or other critical-facility environments.
• Experience integrating AV monitoring and alerting into IT service-management or NOC workflows.

• Compensation range of $100,000–$120,000 plus bonus.
