Technical Account Manager

The Technical Account Manager drives adoption, operationalization, and business value for enterprise customers using a cloud-security platform. About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout customers’ Wiz journeys.
  • Guide customers through deployment, configuration, and operationalization of Wiz using cloud-security best practices.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for a book of customers, resolving technical questions and issues through email, meetings, Slack, and support tickets.
  • Monitor emerging cloud-security threats and stay current on Wiz features and functionality.
  • Develop customer success plans with measurable goals aligned to security and compliance objectives.
  • Lead customers toward full adoption, business value realization, and effective management of Cloud, Code, and Runtime security risks.
  • Project-manage adoption and operationalization goals across business units and stakeholders.
  • Resolve people, process, and technology blockers with internal and external parties.
  • Track customer goals, adoption, satisfaction, and value realization; report progress through executive-friendly communications, QBRs, and briefings.
  • Capture feature requests and adoption blockers and collaborate with Product and Engineering on prioritization and solutions.
  • Manage a book of up to 15 customers, identify expansion opportunities, and support renewals with Sales and Renewals teams.
  • Track utilization and adoption targets and identify risks such as churn, renewal, satisfaction, and tenant health.
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders from C-level executives through practitioners.
  • Improve the TAM motion, develop documentation, mentor associate TAMs, and build technical subject-matter expertise.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve processes.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, ideally supporting a cloud or cloud-security product.
  • Experience in roles such as Technical Account Manager, Professional Services, Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, Customer Success Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of cloud services and architecture for at least one cloud service provider: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or OCI.
  • Familiarity with cloud-security best practices, common threat models, and CNAPP use cases.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and related security considerations.
  • Familiarity with DevOps technologies, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and version control systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating-system concepts and runtime sensing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to continuously learn emerging cloud and security technologies.
  • Proven experience managing a book of business with 5–10+ customers.
  • Experience building enterprise-client relationships, driving customer outcomes, and exceeding performance targets.
  • Ability to enable customers on the Wiz platform and solve problems ranging from routine to highly complex.
  • Ability to support customers across multiple communication channels and platforms.
  • Ability to use data and systems such as CRM and log-analysis tools to monitor customer health and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Cloud service provider certification, such as Certified Solutions Architect or Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Security certification or experience helping organizations address cloud-security challenges.
