Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend infrastructure supporting affiliated trading operations across Kalshi markets.
- Develop trading systems, including order-management functionality.
- Build robust, high-performance, event-driven systems and APIs.
- Write concurrent code and help shape the role and trading activity as the organization grows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Direct experience building trading systems, including order management.
- Experience developing robust, high-performance, event-driven systems and APIs.
- Experience writing concurrent code.
- Strong proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with AWS, especially Amazon RDS and Amazon ECS.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, Rust, or C++.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with stream processing and Kafka.
- Familiarity with frontend development.
- Familiarity with machine learning, neural networks, or generative AI, including large language models.
- Experience trading on Kalshi or other prediction markets.
