Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and document back-end services for the Bilt mobile app and website.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Drive engineering best practices and ensure the technical feasibility of integrations.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Investigate and use Google Cloud Platform services to improve application architecture.
- Implement microservices with Java and Quarkus.
- Propose and enhance automation for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting.
- Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Hands-on software development experience.
- Demonstrable Java development experience.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility in a fast-changing startup environment.

- Salary range of $170,000–$300,000, based on experience and level.
