Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available, scalable, and secure ClickHouse Cloud platforms for regulated and mission-critical environments.
- Build deployment automation across cloud, hybrid, on-premises, and disconnected environments.
- Collaborate with Dataplane, ClickHouse Core, Security, and Infrastructure teams to maintain software parity and meet security requirements.
- Solve scaling, reliability, performance, and operational challenges in regulated environments.
- Deploy ClickHouse Cloud on Kubernetes and containerized platforms, ensuring high availability, replication, and backup.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, operators, and Kubernetes manifests for database management.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management across deployment models.
- Optimize database performance and storage architecture for on-premises, hybrid, and government cloud deployments.
- Implement secure authentication, encryption, and access controls.
- Create technical documentation covering architecture, security, and compliance audits.
- Troubleshoot database performance, security, and operational issues.
- Automate deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- U.S. permanent residency or citizenship due to U.S. federal contract requirements.
- 6+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Experience with ClickHouse or relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes tools, including Helm, Kustomize, operators, Istio, and service meshes.
- Experience with containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government, or equivalent on-premises environments.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for automation and integration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and production debugging skills.
- Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.

- Experience with secure, regulated, or restricted network environments, including air-gapped architectures.
